South East Sydney Parenting Coordination Project - Seeding Grants

Funder: Benevolent Society

Program summary

The Benevolent Society's South East Sydney Parenting Coordination Project is funded by Families NSW. The aim of the project is to coordinate, promote, and assist in funding parenting programs for families with children aged 0-8 years across South East Sydney.

Key dates
Applications close 26 September 2008

Who can apply?

All organisations, both government and non-government are welcome to apply. Partnerships between organisations are encouraged. State/Federal government agencies may only apply for a grant in partnership with a community agency. Please advise if you need any assistance in completing the application.

What will be funded?

The purpose of the Seeding Grants is to fund organisations to provide short-term parenting programs, groups, workshops or courses. These activities must focus on educating parents and providing information about parenting.

Funding can be for programs that are open to the general public, or for programs that meet the needs of specific groups in the community, such as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander familes, parents of children with a disability or parents from a specific Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) group. Early intervention is a primary aim, so programs must focus on parents with children aged 0-8 years.

How much funding is available?
up to $3000
