The Danks Trust disburses funds to projects/organisations that fit the categories of religion, education or the relief of poverty.

Annie Danks Trust funds can be disbursed to any charitable cause.

Key dates

• Trustees meet in February and August each year.
• Closing dates 31st January and 31st July.  This is strictly applied. 
• It is preferable that applications be received well in advance of the closing dates.

Who can apply?

Danks Trust : Organisations with income tax exemption status and with gift deductibility status with effect from 1st July 2000.

Annie Danks Trust: funds can be disbursed to any charitable cause.

What will be funded?

Funds are disbursed to projects/oprganisations that fit the categories of religion, education or the relief of poverty (broadly interpreted).

Geographic scope: Australia wide.

The following details will enable Trustees to assess an application and should be addressed:

• detail of the overall control and administration of organisation
• the overall budget of activities
• the purpose of the project and its budget
• then known or anticipated efficacy of the program
• a copy of ATO letter endorsing income tax exemption status with effect on or from 1st July 2000
• a copy of ATO letter endorsing gift deductibility status with effect on or from 1st July 2000
• latest full financial statements with audit report
• latest annual report
• a specific indication of the sum being asked from the Trust

Application forms:  There is no formal application form however the Trust requests written submissions are on organisation letterhead.

A single application addressed to the Danks Trust/Annie Danks Trust is very acceptable.
