You're invited to nominate a friend, family member, community leader, colleague or even someone famous - an Australian who you believe makes our country a better place to live. Being nominated is a great honour.
Who makes us proud to be Australian? Nominate them now.

Each year our nation celebrates the achievement and contribution of eminent Australians through the Australian of the Year Awards by profiling leading citizens who are role models for us all. They inspire us through their achievements and challenge us to make our own contribution to creating a better Australia.

Who can apply?
Anyone can nominate a person for an Australian of the Year Award.
What will be funded?

There are four separate Australian of the Year Awards:

  • Australian of the Year
  • Senior Australian of the Year (60 years and over)
  • Young Australian of the Year (16 to 25 years)
  • Local Hero
Nominations

To nominate, you simply need to complete a nomination form. Follow the link below for online nomination, or to download a form, or pick up a form at any Commonwealth Bank branch or Holiday Inn, or by calling 1300 655 193.
