Heritage Grant Program and Funding

Funder: Department of Environment and Heritage (Aust Govt)

Program summary

Programmes such as Envirofund under the $3 billion Natural Heritage Trust and the Australian Government's Community Water Grants, with $200 million over the next five years, support groups that are taking on-ground action in their own backyards.

Other programmes, like Commonwealth Environmental Research Facilities will support world class centres of environmental research, while environmental education grants acknowledge that we all need to learn to live more sustainably - at school, at work and at play. The Grants to Voluntary Environment and Heritage Organisations provide the back-up many groups need to direct their work effectively.
